Glaciere Tall Ship – Virtual Tour
We were delighted when Dave Murray, owner of the Glaciere project, approached us for a virtual tour to showcase his rare and beautiful tall ship. In 2003 Dave rescued the Glaciere from the bottom of Collingwood dock and restored it to a fully working ship. With the help of volunteers, many of whom were homeless and jobless, it took just six months to bring the Glaciere back to life. Restoring the ship gave these volunteers the experience and skills they needed to get back into the working world. Not only had the Glaciere been given a second chance but the project gave the volunteers a second chance also.
Since being reborn the Glaciere has become a symbol of hope and second chances for many people in Liverpool. Over the last nine years the Glaciere project has helped countless vulnerable people who felt they had no hope to learn new skills and feel part of a community. Due to the success of the Glaciere project Dave gets a lot of enquiries about his beautiful tall ship. He decided he needed a better way to showcase to others, many of whom were overseas, his tall ship and contracted us to help highlight in the best possible way the size, layout and features of his boat.
